Just come across this sentence and it really makes sense for almost all of the things called 'interactive mode', shell or so.
"The shell sits in a read-eval-print loop."
So, if you've seen some thing like Unix bash, Windows cmd, python interactive mode, etc. Then they all do the read, evaluate the read (at different level of complexity) then it prints something else. Seems easy to digest ha ?
